Anticevich made a jumper and a 3-pointer on back-to-back possessions for a 49-46 Cal lead. The Pirates tied it at 49 and 51 following another bucket from Anticevich. His corner 3 made it 54-51 with 5:07 to play before Hall made its comeback.
Rhoden and Bryce Aiken chipped away at the lead from the foul line. Then, Aiken drained his only 3 of the game to put the Pirates ahead 57-56. After two Kelly free throws, Seton Hall’s Richmond beat his defender to drive the pain for a layup.
Cal outrebounded Seton Hall 36-30 and made 44.9 percent from the floor in the loss.
