Five-star guard Bryan Antoine announced his commitment to Villanova in a tweet on Tuesday.
Antoine picked the defending champion Wildcats over Duke, Florida, Kentucky and Kansas. He had visited Villanova unofficially last week.
“The reason why I chose Villanova was because it was family,” Antoine told Prep Circuit. “Family goes a long way with me and their school. I also looked at how they played and how they play for each other. I’ve done the same thing with my coaches in AAU and school ball. I feel like I’ve already lived in that for so long and Villanova fits that system perfectly.”
Antoine is considered one of the top scoring shooting guards in the Class of 2019 out of Ranney School (N.J.). He averaged 16.6 points and shot 41.0 percent from 3-point range for Team Rio National in the Under Armour Association circuit.
Antoine joins four-star guard Justin Moore and four-star big man Eric Dixon in Villanova’s 2019 class.
