Former Oklahoma State 7-footer Lucas N’Guessan has transferred to East Tennessee State, the latter school announced Thursday.
N’Guessan will have to sit out the 2018-19 season due to NCAA transfer regulations. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
“We are very excited to have Lucas in our program,” East Tennessee coach Steve Forbes said in a statement. “He brings great size and Big 12 experience to our roster. Having the opportunity this upcoming year to sit out and work on his game and in the weight room, will be invaluable to his future and ours.”
N’Guessan, who is from the Netherlands, averaged 1.5 points and 2.0 rebounds in 25 games (seven starts) for Oklahoma State last season. As a freshman, he averaged 2.4 points and 1.7 rebounds in 28 games (10 starts).
“I’m very excited to start new beginnings and I’m determined to make the upcoming year a great one with my teammates and coaches,” N’Guessan said in a statement. “ETSU has become one of the top mid-majors in the country and I really like what Coach Forbes and his staff have built.”
