VMI high-scoring guard Bubba Parham has transferred to Georgia Tech.
Yellow Jackets coach Josh Pastner announced Monday that Parham will enroll for the summer term.
Parham must sit out next season to meet transfer regulations. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Parham averaged 21.4 points last season and scored 1,125 points in two seasons (62 games) for the Keydets.
“Bubba will be a terrific addition to our program, both as an outstanding student and as a player who can really score,” Pastner said in a news release. “He’s a great young man from the Atlanta area, and we’re excited to have him come home to continue his college career.”
Parham scored 30 or more points on nine occasions, the most by a Southern Conference player since Davidson’s Stephen Curry did it 15 times during the 2008-09 campaign.
Parham set a school-record by making 10 3-pointers in a loss to Kentucky last November. He scored 35 points in that contest.
