Bagley’s brother commits to Arizona State

Marcus Bagley, a top 50 basketball recruit and the brother of former No. 2 overall draft pick Marvin Bagley III, committed to Arizona State on Monday.

He is the first committed player in the 2020 class for Sun Devils coach Bobby Hurley.

Marcus Bagley is a 6-foot-7 small forward from Sheldon High School in Sacramento, Calif., although the family lived in Arizona and he previously attended Corona del Sol High School in Tempe and Hillcrest Prep.

Bagley is a four-star recruit who is No. 50 in the 247Sports Composite rankings for the 2020 class.

Marvin Bagley played one season at Duke before becoming the second pick in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings.

The Bagleys are grandsons of Joe Caldwell, a former NBA and ABA All-Star who starred at Arizona State in the early 1960s.
