Arky started on Saturday mornings with ‘The Sports Flood’ where he began to develop his following. In May 2013, he took “an offer at fun” when he moved to Auburn to work for a pop station and a country one whilst developing ‘The Sunday Takeaway,’ his parlance back into sports. In October of 2013 he returned to Huntsville to be with his now wife and took an opportunity with the UMP. Since then he has won three ABBY’s (award for best in Alabama broadcasting) for outstanding performances on air. In 2015 he won for co-hosting a morning show with Cole Cubelic, in 2017 he won for his play-by-play on Friday nights and in 2018 won his third for the morning show. The morning show disbanded and Arky was thrilled to have an opportunity to team with Thom Abraham who won an ABBY of his own for best sports show in 2016. “Afternoon radio in North Alabama is a blessing to be able to be a part of because I am teaming with an outstanding host and we both just want one thing: great freaking radio. It’s going to be so much fun to help afternoon drive entertain some of the most knowledgeable and loyal fans in all of radio.”
